Shining Armor Award
Awarded for service to your council and our Order with distinction, the Shining Armor Award is awarded to those men that exemplify a true Knight of Columbus.
The Shining Armor Award program is a special recognition of members of our council
who have engaged in and maintain an active level of participation in council programs and activities.
To qualify for the Shining Armor Award brother Knights must:
- Be involved in at least 3 council Faith in Action programs. ex. Fund raising/Charitable events.
- Attend at least 3 council meetings.
- Receive their Second (Formation) and Third (Knighthood) degrees.
- Meet with your council’s insurance representative.
- Recruit/Sponsor at least one man who becomes a Knight.
These are the basic requirements for the program.
Upon completion, Knights will have earned the following:
- Certificates of Recognition a special way to commemorate your hard work and contribution to our brotherhood of Knights.
- Shining Armor Lapel Pin to wear with pride as a recognition of your accomplishments.
- Gift Certificate toward the item of your choosing from the Knight’s Gear.
